Opening Workshops

The first full day of the meeting will be a hands-on workshop focused on communicating science to the general public, concerned citizens and stakeholders, and government officials. This is a strength that UW-Madison has cultivated for decades, and we will tap into the many available resources, both on campus and in the wider Madison community. The need for environmental scientists to be able to stand up for what we do is ever increasing, and communication training will help empower YES attendees to confidently and clearly explain the importance of their work to all audiences.
